Obituary of AL Oliveri

Please share a memory of AL to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Al Oliveri, age 91 years old, passed away on March 3rd, 2017. Al was the owner of Skor-Mor Bowling Supplies in Valley Stream for many years. In addition to his love of bowling, he loved playing golf and the time spent making memories on golf outings with his friends. Al was an active member of the Lynbrook Kiwanis for many years, having served as President of his club. Al and Rita were happily married for 59 years, meeting on a blind date. Rita and Al were lucky enough to travel to many wonderful places during their marriage. They also loved their time spent at the Sun and Surf Beach Club. Perhaps Al's greatest joy was spending time with his family. His children Paul and his wife Debbie, and Alison and her husband John, will remember their Dad as a loving father with a keen sense of humor. Al was the ultimate proud Grandpa of Jason, Ashley, Rebecca, Justin, and Evan. Whether school concerts, sporting events, or dance recitals, he never missed an opportunity to cheer his grandchildren on. He also always enjoyed seeing his Great grandson John. Al will be missed by his loving family who will always remember him.
