Obituary of William J. Hendrick

Father, Grandfather, Public Servant, Friend. William J Hendrick, 64, died at 11:00 pm on Wednesday October 11, 2017, after battling a heart attack. William was born Dec. 9th, 1952, in Jackson Heights, NY, and grew up in Franklin Square, NY. He moved to Lynbrook, NY in 1976.

William was an attorney and a public servant. He served as a trustee in Lynbrook from 1989 to 1993 and 1995 to 2010. In 2011 he was appointed as mayor of Lynbrook, and re-elected as mayor in March of that same year. He served as mayor until his death.

He is survived by his two sons, William (m. Anna) and John (m. Samantha), and Williams two children, Logan and Skylar. He is also survived by his brother, Robert, his sister, Barbara, their families, as well as his village family and friends in Lynbrook. Lastly, he is survived by his faithful dog, Teddy. He was loved by all who knew him and will be missed terribly.
