Obituary of Marino Artusa

Marino Artusa left us on June 10th, 2021 to be with the Lord. He passed away peacefully in his home. Marino was born in Filandari, Italy in 1931 and came to America at the age of 20 by himself to make a new life, followed by his parents and some of his siblings. Throughout his life Marino had many occupations including carpenter, landscaper and sprinkler installation. He was a very skilled, talented and accomplished man. Marino's hobbies included photography, collecting trains, HAM radio and was an avid fisherman. He loved spending time on his boat, The Blackfin III. He loved music, especially Polka and Italian folk and dancing with his nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He enjoyed watching the Discovery Channel documentaries and was a big Islander fan and enjoyed watching hockey and baseball. One of his greatest joys throughout his life was to be surrounded by family and friends. He was very witty and was always making people laugh. Everyone who met him loved him! Marino is survived by his sister Maria De Luca, brother-in-law Pasquale De Luca, brother Mike Artusa, sister-in-law in law Carol Artusa, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great, great nieces.
