Eileen Schreiber of East Rockaway, NY, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2025 at age 87.
Predeceased by Arthur Schreiber, her beloved husband of 57 years.
Loving mom to her two children Marina (Paul Durso) and Trish.
Loving dog mom to Shaeffer, Max, Scooter, Topper, Molly, Maggie and Mitzie.
Born Eileen Murphy in Far Rockaway, NY, educated in Brooklyn (Bishop McDonnell High School), she worked in Manhattan for Eastern Airlines before moving to Long Island and becoming a full-time homemaker.
Proud Irish American with a warm smile and a quick laugh, avid shopper (luxury and discount), incessant home decorator, and owner of uncompleted projects galore.
Fan of Newsday, PBS, HGTV, Hallmark Christmas movies, Wheel of Fortune, comedy specials and Triple Crown horse racing.
Connoisseur of Italian food, appetizers, whiskey sours and chocolate cake.
Member of the St. Raymond’s School Board and Sodality of our Lady, Meals on Wheels volunteer and 4-H troop leader.
Predeceased by her devoted family, mother Marie Donovan Murphy, father Patrick Murphy and four brothers Patrick Desmond, Jeremiah, John and James Murphy.
