Obituary of Raymond Velez Jr.
With great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Raymond Velez Jr.
He lived a full life with many trials and tribulations. He found comfort and stability in the military. He was extremely proud to be a Navyman and to have served in the Vietnam War. The military and his service became such a huge part of who he was. This lead him to a long and fulfilling career in various aspects of Security & Law Enforcement.
Chaco as he was affectionately called was a family man and a real lover. Ray loved his family and put family first. Always.
Raymond is survived by sister Gloria, brother George, sister Millie and brother Johnny.
He is missed and remembered by his wife Maria and children Shelley, Desi, Johnny and Diana. He will meet his youngest child Alexandra at the gates of Heaven.
Raymond’s legacy will carry on through his granchildren Tiyana, Sire, Dominque, Kaylah, Evanna, Gabriel, Dylan, Jihanna, Jacob, Jeremiah, Mia, Adam, Lilly, Bella and Maliha. As well as great grand children Sade and Imaeyen.
Ray loved his music, not just the music of his Puerto Rican culture but many genres. It seemed to fill his soul with peace and happiness.
Please keep Raymond in your prayers and keep the wonderful memories you have of him alive.
