Obituary of Giuseppe Pelle

 Giuseppe Pelle, born in Italy to Mariarosa and Nicola Pelle, died peacefully in his home in Hewlett, NY on March 3rd, 2025 surrounded by his family. Giuseppe was born November 23rd, 1932 in San Nicola d’Ardore, Reggio Calabria. He was a beloved brother to Saverio, Natale, Maria and Caterina. In 1961, he married his wife Nicolina with whom he welcomed two children, Nicola and Maria. In 1969, he made the decision to leave Italy and move to New York, where he worked hard to build a life for himself and his family. 

Giuseppe was a sweet, kind, loving, and gentle man, who cared for and loved his family with everything he had. He loved spending time outside, tending to his garden, and in his able days making homemade wine and salami. He enjoyed dancing Tarantella and listening to Italian music. Giuseppe lived his life with integrity, humility and a heart full of gratitude. You would often hear him say, “thank you my God.” 

Giuseppe is predeceased by his son, Nicola, but survived by his loving wife, Nicolina, daughter, Maria, and his greatest joys in life; his granddaughters, Kristina, Melissa, and Jessica. May his soul rest in peace amongst his family and friends in heaven. Although he is no longer with us, his spirit lives on in the memories we cherish. Poppy will be forever missed and loved.
