Bob Gilmore was a quiet man, a strong man, a proud man. Knowing him for 40 years and remembering his kind smile, the light in his eyes and kindness, is the best way to celebrate a life well lead. I recall his stories of being part of building the World Trade Center, his delight in seeing three generations of his family grow and being comforted by his presence at all of our family gatherings. Most of all, I will always remember the love and devotion he showed his beloved wife, Ronnie. Summers at the bungalow, with a whole tribe of children, grandchildren, great grand children and various extraneous family members, never ruffled a feather. He just sat back, watched, smiled. He was a quiet man, a strong man, a gentleman. He will be missed. He lived a life of honor, love and till the end, strength. He will be missed, but will always live in our hearts.
