Obituary of William H. Rebman

William H. Rebman, Jr. passed peacefully at home in Maryland July 8, 2014 with his family. Bill was the beloved husband of Patricia Ursomano Rebman, brother of Eileen 'Jinx' Rebman Aliprandi, adored father of William H. Rebman III, Victoria L. Rebman Comer and James P. Rebman, cherished father-in-law of Susan Pinglora Rebman, Lawrence R. Comer and Veronica Monck Rebman and much loved and treasured grandfather "Poppy" to Zachary, Heather, Trisha and Ryan Comer, James, Kate, Billy and Kyle Rebman; and an uncle and friend to all. Bill was born and raised in East Rockaway, NY on November 7, 1936 and served in the U.S. Navy Reserve from 1954 to 1960. He attended St. Raymond's School and graduated from ERHS in 1955. During the 1950's Bill was a charter member of the Avenue Angels Car Club of East Rockaway NY, and a member of the East Rockaway Fire Dept. Hose Company # 1. Bill and Pat raised their family in Baldwin, NY. He retired from the Long Island Lighting Company in 1995 after 35 years. His retirement was enjoyed with his family and friends. Visiting hours are Sunday, July 13 at Perry Funeral Home, Lynbrook, NY from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. There will be a funeral mass at St Raymond's Church in East Rockaway, NY on Monday July 14th at 9:45 AM.
