Hello,
Andrea was such a pleasure to deal with. SO friendly and patient and kind and loved her westies with all of her heart.
We are urgently seeking a good friend or family member of Andrea, before Andrea passed away, she made an order with us (wendysceramics.com), she wanted two urns for her westies - she wanted to know they were taken care of, especially with her illness in mind. Her order is almost completed and when she didnt answer any of her emails I had a terrible feeling that this world had lost the wonderful Andrea.
She paid for these urns in full, so it is very important that the urns reach the right person - who is taking care of the affairs of her westies? Please please contact us, wendysceramics you can email wendy.aarc@gmail.com

I am so sorry for your loss. Andrea and I were 'fast friends' in high school and shared many memories. we lost touch, i am sorry to say, as our lives took different paths and we always think that we have time. Just today i heard this news, and I am sorry to have been unable to attend any day or her funeral. I know that she will be missed greatly by her family and friends.

I met Andrea through facebook because of our mutual love for Westies. She participated in some of the many facebook auctions that raised funds for Westie Rescue groups that I worked on and we struck up a friendship because of that. The first time we chatted at length she said "I am very open about my cancer". I knew then that this woman was something special. I was fortunate to chat on and off with her every so often when she would post a new treatment update. She told me I was "her cheerleader". Little did she realize that for me it really was the other way around. Andrea set a great example of someone "too busy living to worry about dying". I marveled when she would announce that she was headed off on a trip here or there or going to a concert. And when life was testing me with the loss of a job, etc. I reminded myself that I was pretty lucky by comparison. Having lost a close friend to liver cancer I had already taken up the notion that my little problems 'were not cancer and not going to kill me.' Andrea was a great reminder to me to just keep on keeping on when a little problem came my way. I am deeply saddened by her loss and the fact that those two beautiful grandkids will never know first hand what a remarkable woman she really was and how hard she fought to stay in their lives. My deepest sympathy to her family and everyone who loved her. A very bright light has been distinguished, but I for one know that I was blessed to know her even if it was to be just for a short time. She was a very kind and caring woman whose strength I will not soon forget.
