I have wonderful memories of my Dad. He was very creative and had many interests. I am the same. Whatever hobby I was interested in he would support me. From my first sewing machine to painting, chocolate making, ceramics.etc...he would get involved and sit with me.He liked doing it just as much. He helped with school projects and much later when I started my drapery business , he helped me install my first jobs. I learned so much from just watching him
He loved my mom Eleanor very much. They had met at 16 and 18 and were married after he came home from the Korean war. They found the little "dollhouse" we grew up in and my mom still lives in today. He worked very very hard. First as a milk man and then in the shoe repair shop. He was a natural entrepreneur. Loved people and built his business up to support us all. His presence is felt in that little house. He is everywhere. Converting the garage into a workshop so he could build furniture and holiday outdoor ornaments. He set up my old bedroom as a stained glass studio.
I could go on and on. Family and friends were very important to him and we spent holidays together. He will be missed dearly. We treasure this past Mother's Day when we were all together. He loved his children and grandchildren passionately. He loved the guys at the veterans post . I can't believe he's gone. He wanted to live forever. We thought he would. Rest in peace Dad. Love you.
