Obituary of Rosemary McGrane

McGrane, Rosemary (nee Vint), 94, of Lynbrook, passed away on April 23, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Rockaway Beach, New York on August 7, 1929, spent her youth there, and graduated from Stella Maris H.S. She was predeceased in life by her husband, Hugh, with whom she spent 65 wonderful years. Together they raised their family in Far Rockaway, NY., and they loved nothing more than a day at the beach or a weekend at their great Callicoon retreat, “The Last Resort”, surrounded by their loved ones. Rosemary was the loving mother of Hugh III (Teresa), John (Annette), Marianne, Colleen (James), Joanne (Jack), Maureen (John), Joseph (Mary), & Thomas (Betul). She was an adoring Nanny to her Grandchildren, Maureen (John), Charles, Jennifer (Tony), Daniel, Timothy, Kathleen, Michael (Lisa), Hugh IV (Summer), Elizabeth (Joseph), Patricia (Michael), AnneMarie, Megan, John, Colin (Rachel), Laurie (James), Erin, Patrick, Sean (Kari), Christopher, MaryKate (Charles), John (Khyla), Kathleen, Peter, Joseph, Maggie, Sean & Melissa, and a loving Nanny to her Great-Grandchildren John, Ryan, Kiersten, Nolan, Kayla, Trey, Kyleigh, Neal, Camrynn, Lyla, Evelyn, Ryan, Noelle, Paisley, Saoirse, Quinn, Theo, Gracie, Mackenzie, Declan, Joseph and Andrea. Family will be receiving visitors at Perry Funeral Home on 4/25/24 from 4-8. Funeral Mass to be held at St. Raymond’s, East Rockaway, New York on 4/26/24 at 10:45 a.m. followed by internment at St. Charles Cemetery.
