Obituary of SUSAN H. PARRIS

   Susan H. Parris

Susan H. Parris, age 73, of Valley Stream, N.Y. passed away peacefully after a long illness on Friday, April 3, 2020 at Rockville Rehabilitation Center.  Born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on November 19, 1946, she was the daughter of the late William C. Parris and Constance H. Parris.

Susan graduated from the University of Rochester with a B.A. and acquired a Master’s degree in philosophy at Ohio State.  Upon graduating she worked for many years in the Courant Institute Math Library at New York University. She earned a second Master’s degree in social work from NYU. In later years she was a devoted caregiver to her beloved grandmother and mother.

Survivors include three brothers and their spouses:  William and Terry Parris of Aurora, OH; John and Cathy Parris of Franklin Square, NY; Robert Parris and Alex Krevitz of Coarsegold, CA and one sister and spouse Constance Block and Nathan of Trumbull, CT.  Five devoted nieces and nephews: Jonathan Block, Colleen Parris, Rebecca Feola, Michael Parris and Cameron Parris and 7 cherished grand nieces and nephews:  Isabella and Gianna Feola, Kaylee, Kirsten, Liam, Ayden and Ethan Parris.

Due to the concerns about social gatherings affecting us all at this time funeral and services will be held privately.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Moore Funeral Home in Valley Stream, NY.
