Gloria passed away on January 7, 2024, just shy of her 87th birthday. Born in Brooklyn, NY to Dr. Alfred R. Caruso and Columbia Caruso. She was predeceased by her brother Dr. Alfred L. Caruso of California. She attended Fontbonne Hall Academy, Class of 1953 and St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1956 in Brooklyn. After marrying the love of her life, Frank Roland D’Elia, she then resided in Lynbrook, NY, Atlantic City, NJ and Naples Fl.
Gloria loved to travel, cook, shop, read, do charity work, and take care of her family. As a lover of animals, she doted on her latest addition, Andy the cat. Gloria will be remembered for her heart of gold, loyalty, love of laughter and ability to light up a room. She is survived by her adoring nieces and nephews, Christine Cusumano, Lisa Caruso, Alfred and Kathy Caruso, Rosetta and Roberto Ruberto, Joanne D’Elia, Frances D’Elia and their offspring.
