Lawrence J. Schaefer of East Rockaway, NY on August 10, 2018. Beloved husband of 60 years to Barbara. Devoted father of Debra Henry (Craig), Linda Abruzzo (Michael), Michael Schaefer (Karin), and the late Lorraine Ann and Linda Marie Schaefer. Loving grandfather of Christopher, Brittany, Nicole, Jamie, Dakota, Kari and Tyler. Cherished great grandfather of Gianna, Dante, Audrina and Scarlett.
East Rockaway Honorary Fire Commisioner, Past Chief of the East Rockaway Fire Department, Proud US Army Veteran and retired NY State Park Police Officer.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the North Shore Animal League or Saint Jude Children's Hospital.
