Jack was the nicest man. We moved around the block 3 years ago and have known him since Day 1. We would have long conversations and my dog would go nuts when she saw Jack outside the window. He really watched over the neighborhood. Such a sweet guy, we will surely miss him. Our prayers are with his family.

Will miss seeing Jack walking Benj walking around town. Jack always had nice things to say and put a smile on all who stopped to chat with him. He was our neighbor watchman, always saw who was coming and going. Peace be with you Jack.

Today we lost our neighborhood’s beloved “Jack” . Most know him to always be walking his adorable, friendly dog Benji all around the south side of town. He was so loved by our family, as I’m sure he was by many others. My 3 daughters Alexa, Kiara and Alaina looked so forward to the days they’d find Jack with Benji waiting on our front steps, or jumping Into our car looking for the kids, or letting Benji run wild around our backyard with them. It was a daily ritual for my girls to want to take a walk to “go see Jack and Benji,” to have Jack hand each of them cookies to feed the dog, and to laugh at the way Jack would tell them not to give too many because “Benji’s getting too fat!” I will never forget the way he would laugh and light up to see Alaina go absolutely wild with intense joy over the dog. It truly made his day to see her and the kids so happy. His humor, smile, friendliness, and willingness to look out for each and every one of us in the area will never be forgotten. I will certainly miss morning chats with him , and finding him walking at all different times of the day ready to strike up conversation. The block feels empty already without his presence. RIP Jack, we’ll miss you!

A wonderful friend, my family is heartbroken at the news. The realization that Jack and Benji won't be coming by anymore is an awful thought to live with.
