Cooney, Stephen J., 77 of East Rockaway peacefully passed away in his home on October 14, 2018. Beloved husband of Marian (nee Guarnieri) Loving father of seven - Amanda Mazurek (Rob), Sean (Joanna), Keith (Beth), Justin (Jessica), Stacey, Stephen & Eric (Terry). Cherished poppa of seventeen - Amanda, Alexandra, Stephen III, Zachary, Danielle, Spencer, Patric, Mikayla, Cole, Charlotte, Emily, Sean, Cassidy, RJ, Payton, Georgia, Charlie. Dear brother of Michael and loved brother-in-law to many. Proud retired member of The NMDU (Daily News). Reposing Tuesday 7-9, Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 at Perry Funeral Home 118 Union Avenue Lynbrook. Funeral mass Thursday 10:45am St. Raymond's RC in East Rockaway. In lieu of flowers donations can be made St. Raymond's Parish Outreach.
