Obituary of Laurence Joseph Iacueo

Please share a memory of Laurence to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Dear Family and Friends,

It’s not unimaginable to think that anyone learning of Laurence (Larry) Iacueo's passing would momentarily pause, feel sadness, be mournful, or engage in quiet reflection. All are acceptable and proper responses, a natural way to feel due to the loss of a loved one. These feelings and emotions are respectful ways to honor his memory. Proper and respectful...that’s Larry, always acted so proper, and was always respectful of his fellow man.

So kind are those who offer herein a gentle, compassionate condolence, visit his wake or attend his funeral mass. Kind, gentle, compassionate......all fitting descriptions and qualities attributable to the person Larry was. Isolate any personal thoughts or remembrances of Larry and you would be hard pressed to disagree with these sentiments.

Tributes often elevate the deceased or portray the lost loved one as a candidate for sainthood. Larry, being the wonderful litigator he was, could herald a fine argument towards such candidacy, and would probably sway the powers that be for such an acquisition! And, if he was canonized, it would have been well deserved for there was not much Larry wouldn't undertake for someone he cared about. He was quite unselfish and was forever willing to help when he could, always looking for nothing in return.

The beauty of Larry as a person was that the goodness in him always triumphed over any other way he could be. Those who truly loved him, and there are many who did, know this. Cherish the opportunity that was given to you to have known him, to have had him in your life and to have experienced firsthand the wonderful person Larry was!

Be happy now that his suffering has ended and find joy in the solace and peace of knowing that he is at rest.
