Obituary of Dolores Brownell
At 2:16pm April 1 st 2019 Dolores Brownell of Levittown, NY passed away peacefully
surrounded by her loved ones at St. Joseph’s hospital in Bethpage, NY. Dolores was a
longtime resident of Lynbrook/East Rockaway, NY area where she raised her family. She is
survived by her Daughters Susan Brownell and Nancy Lonergan, her son Jonathan,
brothers James, John and Michael, grandchildren Joel, Ryne, Kyle, Kelly, Thomas and
Christopher, her great grandchildren Christopher and Zoey Grace.
Dolores was preceded in death by her husband Stanton, her son Christopher, her father
James Cronin, mother Grace McCarthy and sister Joan Pearl.
She was born August 7 th, 1930 in Queens, NY during the early years of the great
depression and passed on a tradition of self-reliance, hard work and honesty that she role
modeled for her children and grandchildren. She will be missed for her love of the game
show Jeopardy, walking the Long Beach Boardwalk and being an active member of the
parish at St. Raymond’s in East Rockaway, NY. Her greatest joy was helping to care for her
grandchildren and great-grandchildren and watching them grow.
Viewing services will take place Wednesday April 3 rd at Perry Funeral Home on Union Ave.
in Lynbrook, NY at 2pm-4pm and 7pm to 9pm. Funeral Services will be held April 4 th at
9:30am at St. Raymond’s church on Atlantic Ave, East Rockaway.
