Eleanor Mary (Dirzis) Jankus, age 72, of East Rockaway, NY, passed away on June 2, 2019.
Devoted wife of 48 years to Rudolf Jankus. Loving mother of Jennifer (Lance), Mary (James) and Ann (Brad). Cherished grandmother of Justin, Ryan, Nicholas, Allison, Courtney & Ellie. Dear sister to Stanley Dirzis and the late George Dirzis and an adored friend to many.
Ellie's greatest joy was her family. Her time was spent cooking amazing family meals, crafting, and going to her gandchildrens events. She enjoyed trips with the family, especially to her "Happy Place", Maine. Ellie will be remembered for her warmth, thoughtfulness and kind-selfness nature. She put others before herself and made everyone feel like family.
Family and friends will gather at Perry Home, 118 Union Avenue Lynbrook, NY on Wednesday, June 5th for Visitation 2:00-4:00 pm and 7:00-9:00 pm. Mass Thursday, June 6th 9:45 am, St. Raymond's RC Church, 263 Atlantic Avenue, East Rockaway, NY
