Vivian M. Fried
Vivian passed away peacefully on June 4, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was born in New York City in September 1935, and grew up in Brooklyn. She attended Brooklyn public schools, and won French & stenography medals in high school. As a teenager, she loved reading, playing handball, and swimming. She acted in school plays, had a zany personality, and loved life.
Vivian was a loving, caring, hard-working, and creative person. After first becoming a secretary, her considerable talents helped her to become a color design artist, working with advertising agencies in New York City. She owned a clothing boutique, and made clothing and accessories for sale. Some of her interests included interior design, dancing, drumming, jazz music, and gardening.
She was generous and friendly, and enjoyed giving ice cream to the neighborhood children. Her motto was, "don't sweat the small stuff," and her philosophy was "live and let live." She lived life to the fullest.
She leaves behind her brother and sister-in-law, three children and their spouses, a nephew, three grandchildren, and the rest of her beloved family.
