Obituary of Sandy DiGirolamo

DiGirolamo, Sandy F. (nee DeStefano) of Lynbrook, NY on June 13, 2019. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY.  Resident of Lynbrook , NY for 25 years.  She worked at Hillcrest High School in Jamaica, NY as an Administrative Assistant in security.    Devoted Mother of John, Joanne DePaula, Annette Vanore and her husband Larry.  Loving grandmother of nine and cherished great-grandmother of ten.  Also survived by her dear brother Frank DeStefano, his wife Jean and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was pre-deceased by her loving husband of 70 years; John and her  great-granddaughter Ella Marie.  Sandy was noted for her hospitality, outreach and for opening her home to all.  She was looked upon and honored by many young people as a surrogate Mom. A Memorial funeral Mass will be held on Saturday June 22, 2019 at 10:45 AM at Our Lady of Peace RC Church in Lynbrook.  Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to :
