Obituary for Celeste Moore (Cissy)
Celeste was a beloved sister, aunty and friend to many who adored her! Our beloved Cissy left this world unexpectedly on January 25th, 2020. Born in Brooklyn NY on December 10th, 1962 to the late Catherine Moore and John Moore; Cissy attended Sheepshead Bay High School and reside in Brooklyn most of her life, she also lived in North Carolina for many years before re-turning to Brooklyn.
Cissy was a loving and compassionate person who loved to be silly, love for music, family, friends and live life to the fullest! She had the most beautiful smile that could light up your soul every time you seen her! When you think of Cissy, celebrate the good memories you have of her. Remember that life is fragile, short and should be lived to the fullest.
Cissy is preceded in death by her Mother Catherine Moore, Father John Moore and her Brother Big George. Cissy was survived by her loving sisters Nicole Moore of (PA) Johnetta Moore (NC) and Danielle Moore of (NC) Step Siblings: Shirley Foreman (N.C) Tavis Foreman (NC) Step-Mother Patricia Moore, Loving aunt Wendy Burgess (GA) Nephews Tyres Gray (NY), God-son Demani Jones-Allen, her loving pets Max and Sabrina, and host of nieces, nephews, friends and cousins.
Be encouraged by my passing and legacy; instead of crying, live an inspired, spiritual and happy life like I did when I was here. Live each day with encouragement knowing that I'm proud and smiling down from heaven. Nev-er say goodbye, I'll see you later!
A Tribute to Our Sister, Cissy
It feels like years but it has only been weeks, And yet that is still too long. I still love you the same as if you were still here with me, laughing during the good times and crying during the bad ones. I miss being able to call you any time and spend time talking about every-thing under the sun. As children we were practically joined at the hip, But we grew up and grew apart, as most siblings do. We had our own set of friends and our own set of goals for our lives, but that still didn't change the fact that we were sisters. There was nothing that I wouldn't do for you and nothing that you wouldn't do for me. I always wish you were still here with me enjoying life, But I can understand why God would want such a beautiful angel on his side from now until eternity. Just know that I love and miss you, And this is the tribute to you, my big sister
