Obituary of Vincent A. Guadagno

Vincent Anthony Guadagno 1922-2020 Vincent A.Guadagno, 97, of Lynbrook, New York, died on Easter Sunday, April 12, 2020. Vincent was born on August 4, 1922, in Brooklyn, New York, where he spent his formative years with his six brothers and two sisters. Vincent served in the US Army. He fought for his country in World War II. Upon returning from war, a decorated soldier with an honorable discharge, he married his teenage sweetheart, Anna. In the 1950s, Vincent moved to Ozone Park, Queens, with his beloved wife Anna and her parents, Pasquale and Maria Finizio, where they raised three children in a loving home. Vincent was a kind, sweet peacemaker. Family meant everything to him. He loved working with his hands. His nickname amongst his family and friends was Mr. Fix-It. He was an avid reader, and gardening was one of his favorite hobbies. He loved watching his New York Yankees on TV. Predeceased by his parents, Gaetano and Giovinni Guadagno, his beloved wife Anna of 70 years and his oldest son Thomas. Vincent is survived by his son, Patrick, his daughter Lorraine and son-in-law Dennis Naso. He is also survived by his five grandchildren, Jeanine, Michael, Gregory, Michelle, and Anthony, and their spouses, along with his eleven great-grandchildren. The family intends to hold a memorial service for Vincent at a later date.
