Moe and Bucky, How fondly I remember growing up next door to them and witnessing the family grow and grow. Before they built their house, the lot was full of trees and my brother Fred and I would get excited to go play in the "woods". When the new neighbors arrived my cousin Loretta and I would babysit Tommy and Eddie by pushing them up and down Pacific Street till they fell asleep. How Maureen entrusted them in our care, I'll never know. After I moved away I'd stop and visit Bucky who would proudly show me his garden. One summer I told him that I started my first garden of tomatoes. I lamented that the plants had all these little yellow flowers on them that I picked off. I'll never forget the look on his face hearing this. With all his grace, he politely told me that the flowers were the tomatoes, while probably thinking what a dumb dumb. Well I've gotten better with the garden and will plant many tomatoes in Bucky's honor. Jo Ann Ciampi Uids

My sincerest condolences to the entire Trotta family. My father-in law, John Hart (deceased) & Mr. Trotta worked as System Operators at LILCO. My husband, Jack Hart (deceased) worked for NY TEL at the time & periodically fixed their teletype. There was always laughter & I hope work in that room when they worked together. Both were Ex-Navy men. They became good friends outside of work. I remember an Easter celebration we all celebrated together at the Hart house. Mrs. Trotta (who was such a good cook) brought her magic, goodies from the Italian bakery, Mr. Trotta’s joking , the kids running around, the utter chaos of it all made for such a fun memorable occasion. My sister-in-law, Celeste, remembers visiting the Trotta house often & having the time of her life with the gang of kids always present & who was the biggest kid of all, Mr. Trotta. He was the kindest of men also giving much needed support to John when Letty, his wife, was ill. Jack & I have missed him over the years & often talked about him before Jack passed. May God grant all peace with wonderful memories of a much loved man.
