Patty was born in Brooklyn, NY to Gilbert and Margaret Mullen. She was the oldest of four children. She leaves 5 nieces (Kellyann (goddaughter), Brinet, Michelle, Julie and Kerry (goddaughter) and 5 nephews (Shane, Scott, Aaron, Thomas and Brian). Patty loved reading, traveling and learning to speak languages. She was an English major with a BA in English and a Masters from Brooklyn College. She was proud of her Irish roots, visited Ireland numerous times and spent a summer studying Gaelic. She was a Brooklyn Dodgers fan and loved to go to Ebbets Field to see them play with her brother Gil. When her Dodgers left NY she adopted the Mets. Her first question to you was always “What are you reading?” when she met you. She had a great sense of humor and could always laugh at herself. She was sassy but kind and when she met you she really got to know what you were all about. She was a picky eater but she loved a Jameson and soda in a tall glass with a lot of ice, Milano dark chocolate cookies and butterscotch candies. Slainte Patty you will be greatly missed!
