Obituary of Robert Charles Herris

Please share a memory of Robert to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Robert "Bobby" Herris, 56, passed October 29, 2020. He leaves behind: his mother Patricia, his brother Gerry, his wife Suzanne, and his daughter Missy. Also, his stepchildren Amanda, Michael, Thomas, and his beloved dog Rocco. He grew up in Hewlett/Woodmere and graduated from Hewlett High School in 1982. He worked with his brother Gerry for 25 years as a tree surgeon and went on to work for the New York City Parks Department. Above all, Bobby's daughter Missy was his biggest accomplishment. His wife Suzanne was the light of his life and he loved her children as if they were his own. He was the most selfless, loving, caring person, and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Bobby took pride in everything he did, especially in making sure that his home and family were taken care of. He was an adventurous spirit who loved fishing and spending time at the Keystone Yacht Club; being by the water was a place that always brought him joy. To know him was to love him, and he will be deeply missed by everyone.
