Humes, Ann Marie (nee Courbois), born June 23, 1938, of East Rockaway passed peacefully with her family by her side on December 29th, 2012. Beloved Wife of 55 years to Roger, loving Mother of Tammy (Kenny) Pacheco, Scott Roger, Kelly (Wally) Kakareko, Stacy Occhiogrosso (Ric Santiago).. Cherished Grandmother of Danielle, Lauren, Alicia, Walter, Travis, Erica, Kimberly and Victoria. Dear Sister to Nippy, Guy, Joan and Billy. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Graduate of ERHS Class of 1956, made & sold custom jewelry for A&S Stores. Served on Election Board over 25 years. Worked for Dr. R Cestari for 15 years. Also an accomplished baker and owner of Confectionately Yours in ER. Lifetime member of the Rhame Ave and East Rockaway PTAs. Volunteered each weekend for the ER Youth Board Center. Founding member of YouGo-a youth activities association. Devoted friend and neighbor. Always willing to give a helping hand to someone in need. She was loved and respected throughout the community and will be missed by all. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Ronald McDonald House Foundation. Services at Perry Funeral Home, 118 Union Ave, Lynbrook Wed and Thurs, 2-4 and 7-9. St. Raymond's Church Fri 10:45 AM, LI National Cemetery immediately following.
