Obituary of Gloria Napolitano
Please share a memory of Gloria to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Gloria Napolitano was a loving wife, devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and caring friend. She left this world on March 5, 2021.
She was born to Luigi DeFabrizio and Antoinetta (DeCicco) on August 10, 1931 in Inwood, New York. Gloria grew up with her sister, Angelarose and brother, Salvatore in in a traditional Italian American home in Inwood, New York.
She married Peter Napolitano in 1950 and had three children, Linda Rose (Bob), Sammy (Minnie) and Angelarose (Frank) They moved into a house in Cedarhurst, New York, now a multi-generational one along with her parents. Their house was filled with music, love, joy and the sounds of the many aunts, uncles and cousins who were always welcomed in their home.
In addition to the loving home that she anchored, Gloria also found time to work as a school aide for over forty years in School # 5 in Cedarhurst. Elementary grade students and later their own children grew up under the watchful and caring attention of Miss Gloria.
Gloria and her husband Peter were blessed with two wonderful grandchildren, Amanda and Brian. Sadly, Peter passed before the birth of their three great grandchildren, Jack, Lilah and Selena.
Anyone who is lucky to have known her will always have a spot in their heart for Gloria. At the family’s request and out of concern for all Gloria’s loved ones, their will be a private viewing before the funeral.
