My condolences to Bessie's family. Bessie was a member of my carpool from Brooklyn to Plainedge back in the 1960s. That was my international carpool, two Orthodox Greek Americans, one Catholic Italian American and a female and male Jewish Americans. Bessie wore her bangs in those days like in the picture. One morning she had Scotch tape holding her bangs in place. When I drove to her school at the end of the day she had Scotch tape on her bangs once again. I asked if she put the tape on for the ride home. To my surprise, I found out no one, students or colleagues, told her to take off the tape! Rest in peace lovely lady! May her memory be for a blessing!
