Dear Phil, It was my honor and privilege to have known you and have worked with you on a few occasions. You were the last of the great musicians my dad worked with and your name was mentioned in our home countless times when i was growing up in Brooklyn. it was my pleasure to reconnect with you for the last couple of years of your life. I enjoyed our conversations so much about the good old days in the music business and about saxophone and clarinet playing. I felt like i was talking to my dad again when we would speak. Thanks for calling me in march just a couple of weeks before you passed. it was my pleasure to have known you. You and my dad Al Biondi and all the great Ed Caso musicians made lots of people happy singing and dancing through your music. you have earned a great place in heaven and im sure all you great guys are playing music up above.
