Obituary of ANITA M. FRESE
Anita Otten
Frese was a beloved mother, wife, grandmother, friend, sister, and nurse. Unfortunately, she lost her fight with cancer March 10, 2020. Anita is at peace and has joined her loving husband once more.
She was
able to touch the lives of everyone she met and will be missed dearly.
Anita grew
up the first-born child of two German immigrant parents who worked very hard and she continued in their footsteps. After marriage, Anita and August opened up a deli in Brooklyn. At the same time, she was pursuing a career as a registered nurse working both
day and night. Gradually they closed up shop and moved to the suburbs with their son and she started working at Franklin General Hospital’s emergency room. This was her passion, her life’s mission- taking care of and loving all people. In her later years,
her grandchildren have been the light of her life. She talked to them everyday and recently adapted to modern technology to communicate with them on a daily basis. They will forever remember their adoring Oma.
People who
were lucky enough to have her in their lives are better off just knowing her. She was the rock in hard times, the phone call that made everything better, the hug that eased your pain, and the infectious smile that welcomed you. God gained another Angel and
we will always be protected by her love and compassion.
She is survived
by her children, John and Debra, son-in-law Michael, her grandchildren Sophie and Lily, and brother Henry.
In lieu
of flowers, you may choose to donate to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Association. She would want to continue to help fight these diseases and ease others’ suffering.
