Just heard this terrible news today, my grandfather who lived in Valley Stream, used Cox Plumbing for decades, and we continued to use them in our Long Beach home, including post hurricane Sandy. They were great craftsman, took care of a customer's home as if it was their own. Very sad to hear this news.

I remember the day at Cox Plumbing that I backed a dump truck into my Uncle Jim’s spotless little pickup truck and totaled the front end. I was panicked. I ran and found my cousin Jimmy and showed him. He laughed hysterically and told me “you’re screwed”
I’ll never forget that laugh
Peace Jimmy

Shocked and saddened to hear this news. Not only has Jimmy come to our rescue over the years, I appreciate my connection to the Cox family over many decades, since my Holy Name years with Marilyn. Sincere condolences to all Jimmy’s family,

Some people come into our lives and quickly go.
But there are those that move our souls to dance.
They awaken us to new understanding with just
their smile and laughter. Some people
make the sky more beautiful to gaze upon.
They stay in our lives for awhile, leave
footprints on our hearts and we are never,
ever the same.
We will always miss you Jimmy, xoxo Cathie and Bob

Jimmy was a wonderful childhood friend and classmate.! I stopped into see Jimmy several weeks ago and he was looking forward to his surgery so that he could regain his health and continue to enjoy his life with his devoted loving loyal wife and family.I was shocked when I reached out to Ann today to check on Jimmy that he didn’t survive. I am very sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved husband and family member. Jimmy was an old soul and a kind loyal dear childhood friend who will be missed by everyone who were blessed to know him. Regardless of the age, the death of dear family member or dear friend with whom we shared "Unconditional Love and True Friendship" with is a life altering event. It is an event that leaves a permanent hole in your heart that time never heals. All we can do now is to try to cope with Jimmys loss by remembering his smile, laugh and the happy times, love and friendship that we shared with Jimmy. Our world has become a darker less joyful one without Jimmy in it, Now all we can do is to celebrate Jimmy’s life the memories and the loving times we shared so that Jimmy is never forgotten.
