Obituary
Obituary of Barbara Alice Fontanelli
Please share a memory of Barbara to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Barbara loved everyone and everyone loved Barbara. She opened her heart and home to everybody that she met.
Her greatest accomplishments was being a supportive wife to Rocco, an awesome mother to Charlie and Maryann and an energetic grandmother to Rocco, Charlie and Grayson.
Barbara loved casinos and playing cards even better.
She loved a good time, so much so that she became the ‘Entertainment Director’ for her building residents (Monica Village), hosting the parties and the ‘saturday night café’ horse racing games.
Barbara loved all things with glitz and glamour, which was a true match for her sparkling personality.
Barbara’s life was guided by her deep catholic faith. She was selfless, kind, loyal and fun.
When she spoke, she had an appeal that made folks gravitate to her.
Through-out her life, Barbara was known to be extremely generous to friends, family and strangers and often took folks under her wing.
Barbara was the “go-to” person for many as she gave great advice, and was sharp as much as she was fun.
With Rocco, together they spent many years running their successful wire business.
Barbara truly loved her family and was extremely proud when speaking about them.
Barbara is survived by her son Charlie (Melissa), her daughter Maryann (Larry), her grandsons Rocco (12 yrs), Charlie (9 yrs) and Grayson (6 yrs)… and by her family members and many friends. She is pre-deceased by her husband Rocco, her parents William (Sonny) and Lorretta Grimmell, and by her brother Billy.
Barbara’s passing is being deeply felt by many… as we individually mourn and remember her in our own special way.
It is true that each one of our lives is better because Barbara was in it.
Let’s all celebrate Barbara for a life well-lived and for all the memories she has given us.
Please join the family in wishing our beloved Barbara eternal peace and joy in Heaven, and let’s remember her always.
Fly High, Barbara!
