Obituary of Henry Richard Herb

Henry Richard Herb, 75, of Amityville, NY, passed peacefully on February 7th, 2023. Beloved son of the late Donald C. Herb and Helen Herb. He has been reunited with his late wife Geraldine, who passed away in 2007 after 39 years of marriage. He is survived by his brother Donald Robert Herb, his loving children, Christopher Herb and Alexis Fasano, and his adored grandchildren, Nicholas, Anthony Jr., Luca, and Jaxson. Henry was born in Brooklyn, NY, on June 26, 1947. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1965 and attended Farmingdale State College (AAS Applied Science 1968) and the University of Georgia, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BLA in Landscape Architecture and Design in 1971. After graduating from Georgia, Henry worked for the National Parks Department for several years before starting his own Construction Business. Before he retired in 2017, Henry spent most of his career working for several large Construction and Landscape Design firms where his love and passion for Landscape Design blossomed. His love of sports, especially the Yankees and University of Georgia Football Teams, were some of his many passions. Henry was happy to see Georgia win back-to-back NCAA National Championships in 2021 and 2022. He was also very proud to watch his two children and four grandchildren grow and enjoy life! His family and friends will greatly miss him. Henry is finally at peace. Services will be held this Friday, February 10th, 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at Perry Funeral Home, 118 Union Ave, Lynbrook, NY 11563. He will be laid to rest at Moravian Cemetery, 2205 Richmond Road, Staten Island, NY 10306, on Saturday, February 11th.
