Catherine L. Mansfield, 84, passed away on February 8, 2023. She was the mother to five sons and "Nana" to eight grandchildren. She was also blessed with a great granddaughter in 2022. Born to Irish immigrants in Far Rockaway, NY, Catherine enjoyed a lifetime of books, crosswords, and raising her children. Friends and neighbors recall her 25+ years of work at CD Gibson's in Lynbrook. Catherine will be remembered for the devoted care of her extended family and sympathy for those in need. Calling hours will be held at Perry Funeral Home in Lynbrook on Monday, February 13 from 3:00pm - 7:00pm with a eulogy at 6pm. A service of remembrance will be held at St. Raymond's Church in East Rockaway at 10:45am on Tuesday, February 14. Catherine is survived by her sons Thomas, George, Peter, Richard and Timothy and her sister Patricia.
