Obituary of Frances A Rinaldi

Please share a memory of Frances to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Fran has peacefully passed away, at 83 years of age, after surviving cancer for over a year. Fran was proud to say she was born and raised in the Bronx, and attended Cathedral High School, graduating in 1958. She loved being a New Yorker, and enjoyed the theatre, museums and cuisine that Manhattan has to offer. She married Albert J. Rinaldi on November, 13, 1965, and enjoyed 39 years of marriage, before he predeceased her in 2005. Fran resided in Mahopac, NY, for 34 years, where she and her husband were active parishioners at St. John the Evangelist Church. They made lifelong friends at St. John's, and enjoyed traveling on pilgrimages and vacationing with their friends, for many years. In 2008, Frances moved to The Villages, Florida, where she resided for 14 years. There she was also active in her church and community, often volunteering for the St. Vincent's DePaul Society, and hospice and prayer shawl ministries. Fran was creative, skilled and smart. As a young woman she was a pattern cutter in the garment district. She could sew, crochet, draw and paint. We often joked about the pictures of us as kids wearing clothes she had made for us, all out of the same cloth. Fran worked on Wall St. programming some of the first business computers; she was ahead of the times. Fran was tough, faithful and fun. If someone was in need, she would help, she wouldn't wait to be asked. She had an unwavering moral compass. Fran was faithful and handled adversity without complaint. She went to her final rest without fear, knowing she was in God's Hands. She will be remembered for the love she had for her family and friends, the ocean, traveling, cooking, learning about history, playing cards and Mahjong, shopping and anything chocolate! She is survived by her daughter Suzanne Crew (Edward Crew), son Keith Rinaldi (Kerry Rinaldi) and son Matthew Rinaldi (Emily Bryan), and her grandchildren, Mia Rinaldi, Luke Rinaldi, Daniel Crew, Joseph Crew, James Crew, and Peter Crew (Carolina Hernandez Chavez), as well as her brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Marianne Rinaldi and sister-in-laws, Marcia Kimelman, and Joan Hillen.
