Obituary of Mario Rinaldi

Mario C. Rinaldi, 50, of East Rockaway, New York, passed away on May 15, 2023. Mario was born to Mario and Agnes Rinaldi on July 25, 1972, in Far Rockaway, New York. He was a competitive athlete who participated in two NYC marathons and multiple tough mudders. Additionally, he enjoyed coaching baseball and softball for his children. Mario was an avid grillmaster who enjoyed partaking in Silver Point Beach Club's annual cook-off. Mario is survived by his wife, Michelle, and their two children, Mario and Sydney. He is also survived by his father, Mario, brother, John Rinaldi (Deanna), brother-in-law Marc Lederman (Jennifer), and his nieces Gianna Rinaldi, Ashley Lederman and Rachel Lederman. He was predeceased by his mother, Agnes. Aside from his passion for sports, Mario was passionate about motorcycling. He was also a proud member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 94. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend to many. Mario will truly be missed by all who knew him. Mario's family will host a viewing at Perry Funeral Home in Lynbrook, NY, on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at 2:00–4:00 p.m. and 7:00–9:00 p.m. In addition, the family will host a funeral mass at St. Raymond's in East Rockaway, NY, on Friday, May 19, 2023, at 10:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the American Cancer Association's Colorectal Cancer Fund in Mario's name.
