My brother, my other half, my right-hand man, my best friend I don’t question God because I know that’s a sin, Your exact words were “I always ride with you, so you will always ride with me” Now I’m sitting here still trying to understand that you had to leave, Even though this is not Goodbye, I find myself looking for a sign from you in the sky, People say to be strong, keep fighting and it’s easier said than done but I’ll try. The struggles and constant battles of you feeling weak are all over You're here in spirit watching over all of our shoulders, I never would have thought in this way that you would be much stronger. I believed in you I never judged you, I held you up I picked you back up every time you would even think of giving up, It broke all of our hearts to lose you, but you didn’t go alone A part of me you took with you when God called you back home. It hurts me every second and I feel lost in many ways, I still remember those late talks in mommy kitchen after work You would find any way to make me laugh even though I'm hurt, That was your way of reminding me that there are better days. You would always say to me through anything, even if it hurts, “Till The Wheels Fall Off, you will always ride.” A month ago we survived that car crash when my life flashed before my eyes. Now life has taken us down separate paths But our memories, the love, and the bond we shared will help me through this crash, So sudden your time was cut very short on this earth But your legacy will live on through me even when it hurts, I won’t stop telling your story and your secrets are still safe with me Continue watching over us as we lay you to rest, you are now finally at peace.
