Obituary of William C Collins

William Collins of Lynbrook New York passed away on 11/13/23. He was born in Brooklyn, New York on April 16, 1930 to parents George Collins and Francis Collins. He was predeceased by his wife Joyce Collins in 2014. They were happily married for over 60 years. She was an artist and the love of his life. He is survived by his son, William C. Collins Jr of Lakeland FL , daughter Susan Simon of Brick NJ and grandchildren Rachel Simon and David Simon. William was self-employed as a Farrier for thoroughbred race horses for almost 60 years. He worked at Belmont and Aqueduct race tracks in Queens, as well as Saratoga Race track in Saratoga N.Y., and Hialeah and Gulf Stream Race Tracks in Miami FL. He was highly successful in his trade, a skilled tradesman in multiple areas and was known to be able to repair almost anything. He was a good friend who was always helping people throughout his life. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
