Anne L. O’Connor, 92, passed away on February 26, 2024. She was born on October 8, 1931, in Nassau Hospital, Mineola, New York to Lester and Josephine Folles. Anne grew up in Bellerose, New York with her two sisters, Geraldine (Osmeloski) and Rosemary (Scalzi). She is survived by her two children, Kenneth (wife Debora) and Linda (husband Ronald Zehall). She is also survived by her five grandchildren that were the light of her life, Colleen, Timothy, James, Erica and Alexa. Anne was a lifelong resident of Bellerose. She attended Our Lady of Lourdes Elementary School in Queens Village and St. Agnes High School in College Point. She also attended Grace Business School in New York City. Anne was a secretary for most of her career, retiring after working for Quimby Equipment Company in Farmingdale, New York for 20 years. After retirement, Anne remained active as an Intergenerational Reader at James A. Dever Elementary School in Valley Stream for over 20 years and received the PTA Lifetime Membership award for her work as a volunteer. Anne was dedicated to her Catholic faith and was a long-time parishioner of St. Gregory the Great R.C. Church in Bellerose. Anne was a lover of the English language and grammar.
