Laurence (“Larry”) McKee joined the saints in Heaven by his passing on June 14, 2024. Larry was born to Joseph and Elizabeth (nee McErlain) McKee on January 7, 1930 in Magherafelt, Northern Ireland. He emigrated to the United States in the 1950’s and was married on August 31, 1957 to Rose Quigg who predeceased him in 1997. Larry and Rose had three children. Larry was predeceased by his son John McKee and survived by John’s wife Sandra McKee. Larry is survived by his son Laurence McKee and his spouse Helen, and daughter Margaret (“Peggy”) Tosca and her spouse Eric. Larry is survived by his grandchildren Laurence McKee, James McKee, Peter Tosca, Eric Tosca, Joseph Tosca, John McKee, Shawn McKee, Ryan McKee and Samantha McKee. He is also survived by is brother Frank McKee who lives in England. In 1994, Larry retired from his career with the Long Island Water Company, where he had worked for over forty years. He enjoyed retirement by spending time with his grandchildren and spent time looking at the boats in Bay Park. He loved to crack jokes and reminisce. He was skillful and talented in his hobby doing carpentry work. He prayed the Rosary on a daily basis.
