HERMAN — Erle Cullen, 81, of Hewlett on November 29, 2008. Served his country on the U.S.S. Iowa and his community as a volunteer fireman for 60 years. Ex-Chief Hewlett Fire Department and Ex-Commissioner Nassau County Fire Commission. Survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Elaine, son Tom, daughter Terri, their spouses Kathy and Steve, and grandchildren Cullen and Caroline. Reposing at Perry Funeral Home Inc. 118 Union Avenue Lynbrook, Monday and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Firematic service Tuesday 8 PM. Religious service Wednesday 11AM followed by interment at Trinity-St. John's Church, Hewlett.
