Furciato, Joseph; 83. of East Rockaway, NY on December 1, 2009. Beloved husband of the late Doris. Loving father of Linda Sharkey (Art), Teresa Whittemore and Donna McIntyre. Dear brother of Robert and the late Joan DeGallo. Also survived by 9 loving grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. 53 year member and honorary chief of East Rockaway Fire Dept. Proud WWII veteran of the US Coast Guard. The family will receive friends Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Perry Funeral Home Inc. 118 Union Ave. Lynbrook, NY. Firematic service Friday 8 PM. Funeral Mass Saturday 10:15 AM at St. Raymond's RC Church in East Rockaway. Interment Greenfield Cemetery Hempstead. In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to East Rockaway Fire Dept.
