Oakes-Clare on February 12, 2011 at age 90 of East Rockaway, NY. Beloved wife of the late Ray E. Loving mother of Ann Kraft (Gerard), Joan Jones (Robert), Woody (Kathleen), Drew (Lynn), Mary Campbell (Ted), Faith Rossi (John), and the late Clare Barbara. Cherished grandmother of 15 and great grandmother of 14. Member of the Secular Franciscan Order (SFO), St. Raymond's Prayer Group, St. Raymond,s Sodality of Our Lady, Eucharistic Minster for St. Raymond's, Mercy Hospital and South Nassau Communities Hospital, St. Raymond's Ministry of Consolation, and Mercy Hospital Cancer Care Volunteer. Family will receive friends Monday 6-9pm and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Perry Funeral Home Inc. 118 Union Ave. Lynbrook, NY. Funeral Mass Wednesday 9:45am at St. Raymond's RC Church East Rockaway, NY. Interment to follow at L.I. National Cemetery Pinelawn, NY. In lieu of flowers donation can be made in memory of Clare to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
