I first met Tony in 1968 at the Teenage Mr. America contest in Philadelphia. He was with a number of New York bodybuilders (i.e. Dennis Tinnerino, Chris Dickerson, Richie Pandolfo, Joe Distinti). He was very friendly and introduced me to many New York bodybuilders over the years. I competed against him many times and I always found him to be a true gentleman who was always surrounded by friends.
Tony had a great sense of humor and always smiled when he talked about family. He was always enthusiastic about bodybuilding, his family and friends. It was a pleasure to be around him in the 1960's and 1970's.
He was always prepared for physique competition. I always saw him compete at his best. He was one of the good guys in our sport. I will always have wonderful memories of him.
