The Board of Governors of the August Town Primary School wishes to express its sincere condolences at the passing of Mr. Donald Hepburn. His passing was a tragic one and we as a school are deeply saddened as we have memories of him being the type of father that we expect. He was always seen taking his child to school and this is significant for us as we want all fathers to play an active role in their children's lives. Our last experience with him was when he showed the pride and passion he has for success as he proudly displayed a picture of his step son Stephon Mingoes, a former head boy of the school who made the St. Georges School Challenge quiz team from third form. This ensured that we as a school could share in his joy.
We recognize that his passing is a difficult one for the family and we just want the family to recognize that you are in our prayers. God will give you the strength to overcome the challenges that you face as a family. Please take heart in the fact that he may no longer be with you physically but he will always be with you because of the wonderful memories that you have shared together. We implore his mother Lesha Barrett to ensure that their son Antonio Hepburn goes to church as this will help him to grow to become the man that his father would want him to be. As a school we will ensure that he receives the counselling he needs to ensure that he is able to overcome the difficult loss of his father and be able to achieve his true potential.

On behalf of the August Town Primary School PTA, I want to express condolences to the family and friends of Donald. I was shock to learn of his passing. In him I see a committed father. I myself being a parent with a child at the school, would see this man dropping off and picking up a little boy daily until one day I notice a female doing it and that's when I learnt of the death. I adore his dedication and commitment and it is this that is lacking in many homes today. May his soul rest in peace.
