To Josephine’s Family,
I worked with Jo when we were both at Salomon Brothers, more than 25 years ago. I would think of her often over the years and although we didn’t stay in touch, she was always in my heart. One day at work she shared her special chicken recipe with me, a simple dish of breaded and baked chicken thighs. It was delicious. I’ve made it too many times to count and it’s become my husband’s favorite – we dubbed it Chicken Josephine – “Chicken Jo” for short. In fact, I made it again just last week during Christmas and thought of her as always, and recounted the origin of the recipe to my son and daughter-in-law. It was only today that I learned of her passing when I searched online for her name. I am heartbroken. She was a very special woman whose memory will live long in my heart and I wanted you all to know.
