Obituary of Marion Tullo

Please share a memory of Marion to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Marion Tullo on November 9, 2017 of Lynbrook, New York. Age 76. Devoted mother of Frank, Denise Leaf (Jeffrey), Phyllis Gernhardt (Scott) and Vincent. Dear grandmother of 7 grandchildren; Ryan, Morgan, Frankie, Nicole, Scott, Matthew and Joey. Marion was a generous and kind-hearted woman who possessed a love for so many things during her time spent here on Earth. Although the list could go on and on it is impossible to document each and every thing, first and foremost was her family. Marion enjoyed traveling with her family and friends as well as talking to her grandchildren and hearing their stories and accomplishments. In her younger years she was an active member of the Inwood Buccaneers where she held office for many years as well as coached many teams. Marion was also a member of Cub Scout Troop #457 of Inwood where she was a Den Leader/Coach and Den Mother. Marion enjoyed spending her summers with her friends and family at Silver Point Beach Club in Atlantic Beach. Sitting in the sun and 'people watching' were one of her favorite past times as long as the birds didn't bother her. Marion was a native of Lawrence where she grew up with her brother Anthony. Marion met the love of her life, Frank and were married in 1961. They moved to Inwood for the next 44 years and raised their family. During her time as a homemaker Marion enjoyed volunteering at the Lawrence Public Schools so that she could be close to her children. In her free time Marion enjoyed crocheting blankets for the veterans as well playing cards with her friends at Nathan Hale. Marion was equal parts wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She gave so much to this world, and has touched so many people. Although she will be missed greatly, her legacy will continue to live on and she will never be forgotten. In lieu of sending flowers, please consider making a donation to the Wonder Warriors Project in Marion's name. https://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/
