Eamonn Patrick Newman was born in Dublin, Ireland April 18th, 1945. He was the third son of Eva and Thomas Newman having been preceded by brothers Jimmy and Peter. He emigrated to the United States in July 31st,1963, and quickly fell in with a local Irish community. Eamonn's love of soccer led him to the Shamrock Soccer Club where he quickly formed lifetime friendship's while actively participating in his favorite pastime. It was after one of those Soccer Sundays that he met Florence McCarthy. The young couple were married in July of 1970; the beginning of a lifelong partnership. Eamonn worked very hard to support his mother and younger twin brothers Vinny and Billy and arranged to have them join him in this country. Throughout his lifetime, Eamonn was a voracious reader, a devotee of classic movies, and a diehard supporter of Manchester United  and enjoyed a day on the water with a reel in hand. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife, devoted family, and caring friends
