Obituary of Aida R. Del Orbe
Name: Aida Rosale Del Orbe Garcia
Born to: Jose Elias Del Orbe & Milagros Garcia
Place of birth: San Francisco de Macoris, la Republica Dominicana
Born on October 5th, 1963, Aida Rosale Del Orbe Garcia was the fourth of six children. In 1969, her and her family moved from the Dominican Republic to New York City, where she grew up, attended Brooklyn’s public-school systems, as well as attended New York City College of Technology where she majored in Business Administration.
Although Aida has always been affiliated with the Catholic Church, it was evident that her spiritual connection with God has become stronger in the recent years.
Aida spent most of her working years in the printing business where she worked at Quebecor for ten years. As she mastered the skills of communication, she was also one of the most valued and trustworthy employees at Quebecor. With her beautiful disposition and caring demeanor, there was never a dull moment in the office due to her infamous laughs and witty jokes. Given that Aida was not afraid of change, she decided to shift gears and try something new. She graduated from the New York Police academy, received her 911 operator certification, and worked there for two years. She tried it, worked diligently with a caring heart, but decided it was not her calling. Since Aida was able to adapt to any environment, another opportunity knocked on her door, to become a nanny, and accepted it with an open heart. Being a nanny is where she found the most pleasure, because she considered the two children her grandkids.
Aida simply loved life and loved celebrating every occasion. From planning family events, supporting and celebrating her nieces and nephews’ milestone events, and planning her month-long birthday celebrations, she made sure everyone enjoyed themselves with a big ole smile while they danced the night away; it brought her happiness. With every occasion, she dressed exceptionally well with her fine taste of fashion. Aida also enjoyed traveling. She was able to visit multiple U.S. cities, ranging from Philadelphia to Miami, San Antonio to Las Vegas and Los Angeles. Her favorite vacation destinations were anywhere with a beach, especially the beautiful blue, Caribbean Sea of her native country. Aida would have bathing suits for every single day, with accessories to match. At home in Long Island, she also loved attending tennis matches in Queens, and reading books from her favorite authors, like James Patterson. Amongst all of her pastimes, Aida was notorious for creating “memories” with her love for photography. With her meticulous eye and ensuring every angle, lighting and setting was perfect. She had the skill to capture everyone’s natural beauty and the moment as well.
Despite the challenges in her life, Aida was motivated by the simple fact that she had a new day to look forward to. Although being a single mother, she tried very hard for her children to feel any hardships. Some of the simplest, yet meaningful activities that brought Aida joy were watching movies and going grocery shopping with Jason and Raquel. She wanted to ensure that they never felt the void of not having what they wanted or needed. In addition to being a wonder woman and mom, she was also a loving and caring daughter. “Necia” was the nickname between her and her mother. Anyone who saw the love between them, they knew it was natural, funny, and caring to the deepest core. Aida loved her mother so much, she made sure all of her needs were always taken care of.
The love of her life was her “Bebe”, Carlos. Aida was crazy about Carlos just as he was crazy about her. They shared everything and did everything together. Their love reflected in the tone of their voices as they spoke of each other. She was his “Amor”, and he was her “Care Bear”. Carlos cared for her so profusely, it was like witnessing a fairytale. She found her Prince Charming and he found his Princess. They shared the “Greatest Love of All”.
Aida, always happy, Rosale, a giver of love, life and mostly laughs – was one of her mottos.
Aida truly will be missed by her husband, Carlos, her children, Raquel and Jason, her mother “Mami” Milagros, her siblings, Jose Aldolfo “Chofo”, Julio Cesar, Milagros “Nena”, Mayra, and Evelyn, as well has a host of her aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
